Some of Our Animals

Buying Lambs

All of our Finnsheep are either registered, or can be registered with the premier Finnsheep organization in the United States, the Finnsheep Breeders Association. Any lambs purchased at full price will come with registration, on request. Contact us for pricing. All of this year's lamb crop has been weaned and is ready to go.  As of June 19th, we have five ewe lambs remaining for sale and 15 ram lambs.

Nabula
This little guy is a monster! He's the biggest fastest growing lamb we had this year. He was a twin, born to Hugo and Black Star. He's going to keep growing and could make you lots of big, black sheep!

4-H & FFA Projects

We should mention first of all that Finnsheep are medium sized, multipurpose sheep. As such, they will not compete favorably in a market category against the black faced crosses. In our limited experience, however, if there are a few Finnsheep in your fair, they tend to be in a smaller weight class and thus compete against each other initially where they are on even ground. If your fair has a breed category for Finns, you'll be in better shape. Just don't expect to go head-to-head with the Hampshires in the Championship run of a market category and come out on top. The flip side is, you'll never get a Hamp club lamb for anywhere close to what we sell them for, and we offer a discount for 4-H & FFA projects.

Queen of the Mouflons
This little girl is a straight up mouflon. She's a triplet, born to Mouflon Man and Latte. Latte's a nice big ewe, and while this little girl isn't off to the fastest start, her parents are both big sheep, so I think she'll get there. A lot of our mouflons have other pattern markings mixed in, but she's a straight brown mouflon.

2021 Lambing Season Progress

We are 100% Complete with 2021 Spring Lambing. We had a good lamb crop, and have sold over half of them already, but some of the very best lambs remain, so contact us if you're needing to add to your flock.

Farley's Girl

We lost Farley last year, but he gave us one last batch of very nice brown lambs. This girl has HST & Mouflon patterns. She is out of Wyoming, one of our big, friendly brown ewes.

Raw Wool

We also sell raw fleeces at $20/each. We do not coat the sheep, and they spend a lot of time in open pasture that can have some stickers in it. Shearing is a BIG job, and I do it myself. As such, I only prepare fleeces for shipping on request. We generally shear in March. If you let me know before March that you would like a fleece, I can take special care to skirt it for you and avoid second cuts. We do, at this point, have a few fleeces from 2019 bagged up and ready to send.

Cookies & Cream

I had intended to keep this fella in our flock, because he's a nice big ram with such beautiful coloring. On second thought, I just have too many rams. So he's going to have to go, unless somebody else leaves. So here's an opportunity to grab a really nice ram lamb from the 2021 crop - from Hugo and Goldie.
